Meet Dr. Patrick Chen

Dr. Patrick Chen is a board certified plastic surgeon with many years of experience. Dr. Chen enjoys serving his Dallas / Fort Worth area patients to help them achieve their full potential.

Background

Born and raised in India, Dr. Chen completed his medical education and graduated with honors from St. John's Medical College in Bangalore, India. As a medical student he always wanted to be a surgeon but was unsure about what specialty. A rotation in plastic surgery during his internship played a decisive role in choosing his surgical career.

After arriving in the United States, Dr. Chen completed his general surgery residency at New York Hospital Queens Division, an affiliate of Cornell University. This was followed by two years of plastic surgery training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After completing his plastic surgery training he joined a large multispecialty group, the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. His practice included both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. After 10 years at the Marshfield Clinic he moved to Fort Worth in October 2004 to begin his own private practice. Dr. Chen and his wife Catherine have been married for 23 years. They have two daughters Kimberly and Ashley.

Dr. Chen's Approach

Dr. Chen is a self taught advanced amateur photographer with a keen sense of proportion and balance. He combines his artistic talents with his surgical skills to achieve the best possible results. Dr. Chen's approach is very personal. During the initial consultation he will perform a thorough evaluation and will discuss your goals and expectations and recommend the best procedure to obtain the desired result. A second consultation is required for patients desiring cosmetic surgery cases.

Awards and Memberships

In his first full year of practice in Fort Worth, Dr. Chen was named Top Doc in the 2006 April issue of the Fort Worth Magazine. He was recognized by his peers for his work and contribution to the people of Fort Worth.

Dr. Chen is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the following societies:
